QB HOUSE
OUR MISSION
Creating a scholarly and affordable residential community for first-generation, low-income students at USC.
The FGLI Housing Problem
USC's origins as a commuter school have inflated the surrounding housing market rates. As such, it's incredibly difficult for first-generation, low-income (FGLI) students to obtain affordable housing near campus.

Following Form with Reform
QB House aims to create a welcoming and open environment for FGLI students of all backgrounds. To facilitate this, the House will emulate some of the structures of "Greek Life" housing while ensuring accountability, respect, and safety for all. This most especially includes marginalized groups.

Structuring the House
QB House will be a residence maintained by and for itself. QuestBridge scholars will compose the governing body of the house itself, and determine its rules and management.

Who Is This For?
QuestBridge Scholars at USC are invited to apply for residence in QB House. More information and applications will be made available soon.

The QuestBridge Connection
Our vision is to empower first-generation, low-income scholars one room at a time. By connecting QuestBridge Scholars at USC with an FGLI Alumni Association, we aim to support FGLI scholars on their path to academic success.

Funding First-Gen
Fundraising is essential to our mission of providing below-market rate housing to FGLI scholars. We are currently seeking financial support from the USC Undergraduate Student Government, independent investors, the First Generation Plus Success Center, and will conduct fundraisers throughout the academic year through House events.
