The USC Housing Law Clinic provides free professional legal services to community residents in the areas of housing discrimination, local affordable housing issues, and landlord/tenant dispute resolution. ***(Their target audience isn't USC students since they're trying to help the local community, but if you're a South Central local or explain that you're an FGLI student they may be willing to help.)***
The clinic’s client services include housing information, legal services and social services referrals, and in some cases free tenant representation. Clinic caseload is limited to matters selected as appropriate by supervising attorneys, consistent with available clinic capacity, and meeting the purposes of the Housing Law Clinic. Clients are seen by appointment only. Local affordable housing tenants seeking information or services may contact the USC Housing Law Clinic at (213) 740-6646 or hlclinic@usc.edu.

The Office of Compliance has established a Help & Hotline number that all USC faculty, staff, and students can use to ask questions about applicable laws, regulations, and university policies that may impact their job duties. The Help & Hotline can also be used to report suspected violations of law confidentially and without fear of retribution. Anyone who has knowledge or a good faith belief that an applicable law, regulation, or university policy has been violated should report such information to the Help and Hotline at (213) 740-2500 or by filing on the web at www.mycompliancereport.com (and entering UOSC as the access code).
